Troubleshooting

This page explains most troubles you can face with Wick.

Wick is not doing anything.

Make sure:

  • Wick has all the permissions it needs (Adding Wick -> Adding standard Wick).

  • Wick is setup right (Setting up Wick -> Essentials).

  • Wick is able to deal with the user (Wick's role higher than the user's).

  • The user is not whitelisted or trusted.

  • The system concerned is enabled.

Wick didn't stop a user/bot from nuking.

This means you haven't set Wick up correctly. Make sure you give Wick all the permissions it needs and that the user/bot is not higher than Wick.

Wick won't touch trusted users or users that have higher roles than Wick.

Wick didn't stop a user/bot from raiding/spamming.

Make sure:

  • Wick has all permissions it needs (Adding Wick -> Adding standard Wick).

  • Wick has no permission overrides in the channel.

  • User/bot is not whitelisted.

  • Wick is setup right (Setting up Wick -> Essentials).

  • User/bot is not trusted.

  • Channel is not whitelisted.

  • User/bot has no whitelisted roles.

My admins and mods can't use Wick.

No one can use Wick except The server owner + Trusted users. If you want a user to be able to use most of wick, you have the option to trust the user (Setting up Wick -> Essentials -> Trust a user)

Wick is not logging.

Make sure you have your config setup correctly (Setting up Wick -> Essentials -> Set up a logging channel). Make sure Wick can send messages to the stored logging channel. Make sure the channel Wick detected is an actual text channel (and not a category/voice channel)

Wick is not verifying users. (Premium)

Make sure you have an unverified role setup in your config (Setting up Wick -> Essentials -> Set up an unverified role)

Wick only verifies users it finds suspicious.
